In the beginning . . . In 1982, hosts Charlie and Barbara Campbell renovated the original homestead bakehouse into this charming cottage, a honeymoon hideaway for their daughter. The historic entrance room, where the homesteaders baked their bread, dates back to the late 1800s and has been carefully preserved in remembrance of the property's original Hawaiian residents. The cottage addition has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and queen bed with Tempur-Pedic mattress. A later renovation included the addition of a luxury bath, with double sinks, double shower heads, and a cozy whirlpool tub, all opening to a sweet, completely enclosed private garden. Waimea's green rolling hills provide the perfect backdrop for the seasonal backyard stream, just steps away. The entrance room has a twin bed to accommodate a third person.
